1:1 Orton-Gillingham (O-G) based tutoring in-person or online. I use the Yoshimoto Orton-Gillingham approach which is the most efficient of the O-G programs. It builds students’ phonological awareness while developing their thinking, vocabulary, writing, fluency, and comprehension skills.
-
I help students deepen fluency and comprehension with appropriately leveled texts to become stronger, more confident readers. Students will also develop effective reading habits while setting realistic goals.
-
I am trained in the Hochman Method® by The Writing Revolution®, and I bring these evidence-based writing practices into my tutoring sessions to help students craft effective sentences, paragraphs and compositions. Students also learn how to take notes to deepen learning in all subject areas and add content to their writing. Internalizing these foundational skills builds writing confidence. If students can write well about something, they understand it, so writing is the key to unlock all future learning.
